If exploring waterfalls is what you desire, then you will defiantly want to visit the MAPLETON FALLS NATIONAL PARK. This park gets it’s name from the Mapleton Waterfall, located in the park. The Waterfall pours out from the western area of the Blackall Range.
The MOUNT COOLUM NATIONAL PARK is a place like no other. It is a region filled with wetlands and flying falcons everywhere you turn.
NOOSA NATIONAL PARK – One of the few coastland National Parks in the world, this unique park is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Hastings Street and is home to some amazing creatures including cuddly koalas, froglets and incredible black cockatoos.
The GLASS HOUSE MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK has distinctive volcanic plugs which rise abruptly out of a patchwork of farms and forests. It makes for an excellent day of rock climbing, scenic drives or taking a bushwalk.
SUNSHINE COAST HINTERLAND GREAT WALK – A web of trails that runs through 58 kilometers of Maleny Forest Reserve land, this walk will actually take you from the Mapleton Falls Park to the Kondalilla National Park . This type of hike is only for those who are prepared for a long journey and who are physically fit.
Also known as the Great Sandy National Park, COOLOOLA NATIONAL PARK is made up of glorious beaches, crystal lakes, beautiful wildflowers and the the Noosa River. While visiting you have the option to drive through the National Park along the Cooloola Way from Tewantin to Rainbow Beach or along the Cooloola Wilderness Trail from Boreen Point. A Rainbow Beach drive will have you passing beautiful Teewah Coloured Sands, as well as the wrecked Cherry Venture. Other ways to travel the park include river boats and hiking.
